WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY?

Gas leaks, odor of gas, damaged lines, carbon monoxide symptoms and water main breaks are all considered emergencies.

If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not use any electrical switches, appliances, lights, telephones, or mobile devices, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call M.U.D.'s emergency hotline at 402.554.7777 or 9-1-1.

If someone is showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, call 9-1-1 immediately. Symptoms are like the flu.

¿QUÉ ES UNA EMERGENCIA?

Las fugas de gas, el olor a gas, las tuberías de gas dañadas, los síntomas de monóxido de carbono y roturas en las tuberías principales de agua son consideradas emergencias.

Project Update (11/09/2022): Water main installation continues on this project and is anticipated to be completed around March 2023, barring any unplanned delays. After the mains are installed, all homes and businesses in the project area will be reconnected to the new mains. This reconnection work will require an excavation near each water stop box and result in a brief water service interruption. You will be notified prior to any planned water service interruption.

Project Update (7/17/2023): Water main installation completed; currently working on reconnection work from homes to new main; abandonment of old main and restoration remains.

Project Update (8/11/2023): All water mains have been installed and services have been reconnected to the new mains. Repaving of streets and sidewalks should be completed very soon. Restoration of lawns and landscaping should be completed by end of August or September. All work is barring any unplanned delays.

Project Update (9/1/2023): All water main has been installed, services have been reconnected, and restoration has been completed.
