Community Engagement

As a customer-owned utility, Metropolitan Utilities District is dedicated to being a good community partner through a variety of public engagement activities and services.

  • Hydration Station

    M.U.D.’s mobile hydration station is available to provide cold, refreshing tap water at large community events (generally 5,000+ attendees). To submit a request form, click the link below and send at least 30 days in advance of your event.

  • Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth

    The annual event, which will celebrate its 18th year in 2025, raises funds for utility assistance programs for customers in need, including M.U.D.’s Home Fund.

    The event is usually held the first Saturday in March to bring awareness to the cold experienced by those who struggle to pay their heating bills.
